Queenstown Base
No introduction needed. Queenstown is spectacular. World-class terrain, vibrant après scene, and the perfect Southern Hemisphere winter destination.
Here in Queenstown we have two world class mountains together they compliment each other perfectly.
One mountain with seriously no limits, with its grass base you can ride on or off piste here. It's more like riding in a video game than a ski resort. With top to bottom groomed runs, side hits everywhere you look and skate like features Coronet Peak is a truly epic snowboard mountain.
The amphitheatre of snowboarding, with freeride terrain surrounding the endless pistes and world class terrain parks. The Remarkables really does offer the perfect progression for intermediate to advanced riders no matter what their style of riding is.
Monday to Friday, approximately 5 hours coaching per day. Balance of focused skill development and quality ride time. Each day will work on new skills and terrain, building throughout the week so you really get time not just to learn but also to ingrain new movements, tricks and flow to your riding.
Intensive 3 day camps for time-limited riders or those wanting targeted progression in specific areas. No different from the full week the idea here is to target those areas that you really want to progress in, adapting the days to balance new skills and timing of movements to really feel difference in your riding through milage and variable terrain.
Yes, all camps require participants to have their own snowboard equipment. Rentals available in Queenstown.
No, lift passes are purchased separately. NZSki offers multi-day passes for Coronet Peak and The Remarkables.
No, for the camps you will need to travel to either mountain depending on where the days riding will happen. NZSki offers bus transport from Queenstown and there might be options to share transport with other campers if they are driving up to the mountain.
This depends on the camp - see individual camp descriptions. Generally, you should be comfortable linking turns on the groomed terrain as a minimum.
If you feel you are not quite strong enough maybe book a group or private lesson to check in with a snowboard instructor and they will be able to reassure you of where you are at first.
For us the snow comes with the winter storms so we always try to work with the weather. We have two mountains so normally can run at which ever is better situated depending on the storm. If both are closed we have a couple of options and will discuss those with participants to make sure they get the most out of their camp.
Absolutely! Build your hand and collect all five cards for Royal Flush status.
Limited spots available - maximum 6 riders per group.
If current dates don't work for you let us know. We might be able to accommodate especially if you have a crew ready to go.
Shift our mindset and consider whats possible.
Create an effortless flow in your riding, adapting to all that is front of us and combining this with our own unique style!
Skill level: Confident intermediate riders and above. You should be turn across groomed terrain and able to carve on easy terrain at least.
These camps go all day. Ideally whilst you are learning you are also ripping around so this should feel like an epic snowboard holiday where you ride your legs off but get better each day.
We keep the camps intimate with a limit of 6 people in each group. This helps with less sitting around and provides a better balance for ride versus coaching ratio.
These camps will spark a conversation about equipment. The focus isn't on whether you have the right gear but on learning how to ride what you have to maximise its potential.
