Snowboard Camps - Japan & New Zealand

Outside of Instructor Training and Backcountry Camps we try to offer camps that also resonate with what our fellow snowboarders are interested in.  So this coming year we will offer some camps here in Japan and New Zealand that hopefully offer some options outside of the norm.

Pow Surf Camp - Exploring Turn Possibilities

*New Camp Dates Incoming* - Below Is A Taster Of Whats Cooking

META RAD*

NISEKO SNOW SURF CAMP

This camp is for those snowboarders looking to get creative within their turns. It’s not generic instruction or training but an exploration of ‘What Ifs’. Learning from one another and changing it up, seeking new lines and experimenting with movements that we put in to see what we get out.

*Scheduled in 2020, then the world closed down.  We are bringing this one back for 2026.  Register your interest in this camp and we will keep you posted.

Full Day/Full Fun

These camps go all day.  Ideally whilst you are learning you are also ripping around so this should feel like an epic snowboard holiday where you ride your legs off but get better each day.

Max 6 Persons

We keep the camps intimate with a limit of 6 people in each group.  This helps with less sitting around and provides a better balance for ride versus coaching ratio.

Tech Talk

These camps will spark a conversation about equipment. The focus isn't on whether you have the right gear but on learning how to ride what you have to maximise its potential.

Register Your Interest

Let us know if you are keen.

Currently we are planning on running Meta Rad - Pow Surf Camp at the start of March.  If there dates that suit you then please let us know when registering your interest as this helps us schedule this camp.

If interests is high and there are different dates we could run two separate camps to accommodate all.

Splitboard Workshops

Split Days and Intro-2-Splitboard

We run 1 and 2 day workshops for those looking to get out on a their splitboards.  These are designed for those that are new or still relatively new to splitboarding.  We will be running a few workhsops over the course of the season and will post dates on the splitboard page once we have our schedule finalised.

We can also run these for a group, so please get in touch if you have a snowboard school or group of friends that would like to do one of these on dates that work for you.

The harmony between coaching and riding will be maintained. This approach ensures that riders can enjoy optimal ride time while simultaneously developing our ability no matter what the terrain maybe.

Currently Planning -

NZ Camps 2026..

The format - weeklong development camps for 2026, tailored specifically to your requests. Each week will feature targeted goals, ensuring there's something to engage every enthusiast.
  • Freestyle - From introduction to mastery
  • Intermediate - Break through that plateau and elevate your riding experience
  • Advanced - Master the art of turning and burning on any terrain
  • Freeride - Tackling steeps, powder, crud, ice, jumps, spins, and carves—let's blend it all together in an exhilarating mix.
These camps will center around snowboarding and the pure essence of turning on a mountain and the passion that drives us year after year. These are not instructor training camps, however those on an instructor pathway already will find immense value in these camps, potentially unlocking new avenues for learning and development. Sometimes, it's refreshing to step away from training and reconnect with the core reasons why we engage in this thrilling sport.
