This camp is divided into two segments. The first part includes 4 days of creative coaching, offering a perfect mix of guidance and ride time. We aim to assist those who can ride to find a more fluid riding style through the deep snow of Hokkaido. The itinerary includes exploring inbounds powder spots, tree runs, and utilising gate-accessed powder routes in Niseko. Throughout the week, we will be riding both Niseko and Rusutsu, seeking out the best locations and implementing new techniques to make powder riding feel effortless. We will incorporate video analysis to enhance your understanding and to observe how you can interact with the terrain you wish to master.
The second part of the camp consists of 2 days dedicated to splitboarding. Building on the foundation from the first 4 days, you'll be well-prepared to tackle this challenge. On the first day with your splitboard, we'll help you get comfortable, followed by applying your newly acquired skills on the second day as we venture further to discover untouched backcountry areas. It's going to be an extraordinary week with each day presenting unique experiences, making you ponder how incredible it would be to have such adventures daily.
Whether you are new to splitboarding or seeking to hone your abilities, this program is your gateway to the backcountry!
Reserve your spot now; the only regret you'll have is wishing you had done it sooner.
Every day of this camp will offer a unique experience. To start, we will focus on sidecountry and some gate-accessed backcountry to enhance your powder riding skills. By the end of the week, we will head out to explore on our splitboards.
For these trips we can pick you up and travel to where is best, searching out the best conditions on offer.
We limit the group size to a max of 6 people. This helps us move a good pace and keep everyone safe whilst in the backcountry. If you have a bigger group we can have two guides.
You will need to either rent or provide your own avi equipment. We have avi packs that have all the equipment you will need for heading into the backcountry. These can be rented direct from us.
Participants should bring their own split boarding gear or can rent equipment locally. A gear list of requirements will be provided upon registration.
Participants are responsible for securing their accommodation. Daily transport will be provided for the selected location.
